A Fortune 500 company, Broadcom is a global leader and innovator in semiconductor solutions for wired and wireless communications. The company employs over 10,000 staff worldwide and recently opened a new EMEA Centre of Excellence in Dublin’s Eastpoint Business Park.

The brief was to create a bright, fresh, contemporary working environment, to include cellular and open plan office areas as well as meeting and breakout spaces.

Allied, in conjunction with HKS Architects, set about putting together a design in line with the client’s need to accommodate existing employees, whilst ensuring expansion space for this growing business. Bright colour schemes reflecting corporate branding, combined with white desking and neutral flooring resulted in a clean, fresh finish, giving a real contemporary feel to the workspace.

Allied supplied and installed Double Glazed Partitioning with 10mm & 12mm toughened glass providing an acoustic rating of 43 dB(Rw). The system included (double glazed) door frames with 44mm door leafs with an attractive Polyrey Blanc Megeve decorative finish, in addition to a special fire-rated door for the comms room providing a 60 minute fire performance rating.

The reception area includes a feature Double Glazed Screen with special ceramic back painted glass (Ral 9016), complete with a fair end post.

Broadcom’s new offices were completed on time, to budget and to a very high standard throughout providing an impressive facility for both employees and visiting customers alike.
