Allied completed an extensive office fit-out for a new technology hub for business services firm Deloitte in Belfast, which has resulted in 177 new jobs in the city with more expected over the coming months.
Deloitte, one of the top four global consultancy companies in the world, already employs around 200 people at a building in Bedford Street. “Deloitte Digital” was originally started as a pilot in Belfast in 2011 but has been developed into a fully fledged centre providing software engineering, development and testing, data and number analytics for UK, European and international clients.
As part of the development, Deloitte Digital relocated to a state-of-the art consulting building within The Ormeau Gasworks. Allied Workspace worked closely alongside the client in providing a glazed office partitioning solution that met the need for a space that could adapt, lending itself to agile ways of working. This included plenty of inspiring spaces for concepting sessions and collaboration, as well as a client-friendly area.
Komfort Polar Glazed Partitions were chosen to facilitate this creative working environment. Allied Workspace supplied and installed the following throughout the new premsies:
Single Glazed Partitions including SJ35 door frames with toughened glass providing an acoustic rating of up to 40 dB(Rw). Door leafs were complete with top and bottom patch fittings and included lever locks. A selection of glazed screens were installed with the stainless steel Manet manual sliding door system, which complemented the high-style interior fit with its minimalist appearance.
A range of Double Glazed Partitions with 10mm & 12mm toughened glass providing acoustic ratings of up to 53 dB(Rw), complete with top & bottom patch fittings, lever locks and over head closers.
The project also included Komfort’s “SONIK” Double Glazed Flush Door achieving an acoustic performance rating of 34 dB(Rw).
