Allied was awarded the fit-out package when Dunnes Stores relocated to it new 10,000 sqm Headquarters in South Great Georges Street, Dublin.
The project included Glazed Partitions, Smoke Barriers, Firescreens, Stud Partitions, Structural Steelwork, Architectural Glazing, Atrium Glass, Movable Walls and all joinery items including doors, skirting and paneling.
Acoustics were of top priority in the specifications of all glass partitions. A variety of systems were proposed to meet with the different requirements. An acoustic range of 36dB to 49dB was achieved using Komfort Polar Single Glazed and Komfort Polar Double Glazed. The Double Glazed Partitions were used in high privacy offices and cross walls of meeting rooms to maintain the required inter-room acoustics. Allied also provided structural sound baffles in the ceilings and floor voids, thus providing a complete acoustic barrier from slab to slab.
