After extensive refurbishments, the new look Jameson Distillery, Bow Street carries on the ambition of John Jameson since his first brave steps into the building in 1880 through the fully guided Bow Street experience.
No longer a working distillery and operating as a visitor attraction since 1997 this still remains the spiritual home of John Jameson. Each cooper still can hold up to 24000 galleons of whiskey.
In 1886 the distillers had undergone so much expansion it was described as a “City within a city”, and housed a Smithy. Cooperage, saw mills, engineers and coppersmith workshops.
Allied supplied and installed glazing partitions. The system has been tested to achieve 30 minutes fire protection for both insulation and integrity.
