In addition to tyre manufacture, Michelin also produces maps and guides – including the world famous Michelin Red Guides to restaurants and hotels, as well as operating digital services through its ViaMichelin division.
Anticipating and managing risks are central to the success of Michelin’s corporate strategy. For Michelin, a risk corresponds to the possibility of an event occurring whose consequences could impact its objectives, particularly as concerns its financial position and reputation.
To ensure that risks are rigorously and consistently managed, a global risk management process is in place that complies with the most exacting international professional standards such as ISO 31000, COSO 2 and the reference framework of the French securities regulator, the AMF.
To support its risk management and internal control processes, Michelin Ireland recently acquired new offices located within the impressive Boat House building in Dublin 8.
As part of the fit out of the new offices, Allied Workspace installed Komfort Polar Single Glazed Partitioning and Doors for meeting rooms and individual offices, that also feature a bespoke Manifestation which reinforces the Michelin global brand.
